I thought that the first film, Tangerine, looked kind of cool in how it felt really personal as a result of being shot on a phone. I think that it was also probably quite helpful for them when they were shooting in the shop where there wasn't much space for a whole camera and lighting set up.
The quality was pretty good considering it was shot on a phone and I think for the film, the style suited and added to the atmosphere and mood.
In the Robot Skies looked really cool. I think the fact that it was shot using a drone really helped to add to the concept of being surveyed by technology. I think it made the film seem both more sci-fi, but also more relatable and scarier as a result.
The high rise buildings suited the film being shot as if looking through a drone because it made the film feel more interesting in how it told a story that has been told in various different ways, in a way that felt new.
I really liked how Kubo and the Two Strings was made. I love stopmotion, so I am biased, but I found it really interesting how they troubleshooted and blended various techniques. I think the finished product looked both very stylised and stopmotion-y, but also very realistic and the stopmotion was done beautifully.
I especially liked how some of the puppets were like robots and how large the scale of them was.
