BSA203 Planning Table

Evaluation sub-committee   Stage 1: Planning grid. (made with reference to p.12 of the handout booklet) Aims Why are we doing the project? Objectives What specific things do we want to achieve? Measures of success How will we identify success? ·          A chance to showcase student work. ·          A chance to gain experience in organising an event. ·          A chance to get the community involved with SIT Arts. ·          A chance to get to network and get some industry involvement for ourselves. ·          We want to have attendance numbers that are equal or greater than last year. ·          We would like to get attendance from a diverse group of people (rather than it being only students, some tutors, and the judges.) ·          We want entrants to feel like they have had a chance to partake in something that could potentaily get them known to industry proffesionals. ·

BSA203 Evaluation sub-committee SWOT

The evaluation sub-committee aimed to do a basic SWOT analysis at our meetings each week in order to help us see where the committee is at and what we were doing well, as well as to help us identify what issues needed to be addressed. Week 10 SWOT analysis Strengths: ·          Event has happened before so we have something to compare to. ·          Organised by students, for students. ·          We are on track, pretty much. ·          We have all been collecting data (but we could probably have more). ·          We have the venue already organised and confirmed (except for the gallery because of the budget and less space this year). ·          We have our main sponsors organised and on-board, and may have potentially more. ·          We have extra money left behind from last year to put towards a film prize, to encourage more chance of winning a prize, and therefore hopefully more participation from film students who might be unsure whether they would be bothered

BSA203 Evaluation Sub-committee minutes

The minutes of the Evaluation Sub-committee meeting held Wed 13 th September at 10am Present Sam, Vy, Nina. Apologies Daisy General Business Vy has agreed to take some photos of the committee meetings to collect for the report at the end. We need other sub-committee meetings’ minutes so that we have more data for the final evaluation. Sam said she would address this in the next committee meeting. We will be brainstorming survey questions for the audience at event night. We will compile a list which will be presented at the next committee meeting for everyone to critique. In the next committee meeting we were going to ask the groups opinion on: -           Whether we should think about having an online survey through Facebook that is tailored to the students/entrants and how they felt we did in terms of showing their work. If there is going to be a Facebook Event page for entrants to invite them, this could be posted on there. -           Should
