I storyboarded our story using ToonBoom Storyboard Pro. We then discussed the movements that we wanted to have in our animatic. I then turned the storyboard into an animatic.
After this we were shown how to add sound effects into our stories, during this time we discussed the sounds we wanted to have in the animatic, we worte our ideas down on the panel that it was supposed to be for.
When I came to have to find the sound effects for our animatic, I found it quite hard to find the exact sounds that I had in my head when thinking of them. I had to make do with some sounds that I wasn't particularly happy with but I couldn't find a better alternative. However, I also found some sounds that worked better than what I had previously had in my mind.
The sounds helped to see the time that each shot was going to have to last for and I found them very helpful to help to edit the duration of the panels.
After I added sounds into the animatic and tidied up any notes that had been written around the pictures, I exported the animatic as a .mov file, wrote up a cover sheet, and put everything into a folder so I could submit it.
