I found the mix of many different film techniques quite interesting and necessary to make the movie more interesting and it held my attention much more as a result. It helped add to the pace of the movie and made the story more compelling to watch as it looped over again and again.
There was also a lot of re-occurring themes in Run Lola Run such as the scream and the flash forwards of people Lola passes on the street, showing their lives to come in snapshots. I think this suited the film which was full of pretty complex ideas, wrapped in a very simple plot. These motifs are quite obvious and they draw attention to themselves which makes their importance in the story more interesting and noticeable, forcing the viewer to question their significance much more.
I would recommend this film to someone who is interested in watching a film that is both quite simple and easy to watch but also a bit unconventional and unusual. I think some people might find it a bit tedious to watch and they might find it a bit repetitive at times, however, I enjoyed the film and found it very intense almost all the way through, while still light and comedic. I think that if someone is willing to open their mind to the somewhat unusual storytelling and cinematography, they will find Run Lola Run to be a very enjoyable film.
