Internship

So, I only found out that there's a blog for this so I'm gonna write it while I'm sleep deprived and other things...... My internship was cool, I loved the whole experience! I got to  see the studio environment and that was cool! And also I got to see Wellington. And also I learnt lots! And also I appreciated the  opportunity. Thanks team. I don't really know what else to say. Thanks team (again) . Teamwork. That's nice. Wheres the rave at? I also got lost a lot. So maybe we should teach people to not get lost?! Jimmy is showing me lana del rey memes, and that's a Jimmy thing to do. Thanks Jimmy, for supplying the banter, pushing through the hard yards, not quitting and making it to 6.30am like the true trooper he is. 204 liddel represent!! BSA326 Advanced Animation-xGen

Proposal In Practice I tried to use Zbrush a little while modelling the rat character, but because I didn't really know what I was doing I quickly decided it would be easier and more efficient for me to use Maya.  I tried to use Houdini also when going to begin doing the hair, but again, I didn't really know what I was doing and I thought that xGen was working well enough that it made sense with me to go with that. I built up a few different layers within xGen in order to try and make the different layers of hair (short, fluffier hair on one layer/long, straggly hair on another layer to be the top coat). I found the xGen controls quite easy to work around and use. I followed an online tutorial to get a larger understanding of how xGen worked. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7ijzPEtIyY )  I had an issue with weird square patches showing on the fur, I managed to mostly get rid of them by bumping the fur density up a ridiculous amou

Project update

I made a mood board for my project. Down the side is the colour scheme that I think I will end up going with. The colours that I think that I am going to end up using will be blues and greens and some purples which I want to use in place of the ultra-violet that rats allegedly see. At the moment, the colours are more saturated than rats would see and I might look into de-saturating the tones a bit so theyre a bit closer to grey, but the colours themselves will probably stay the same. I have been working on my character concepts. So far I have drawn my storyboards and concepted for my two human characters. I intend to present the character boards for my two characters, possibly also my storyboards. The next thing I need to do is model my environment in Maya, as well as the Rat. So far I intend to use Maya to model the Rat and zBrush to paint it and make the textures look cool. Mainly because I am struggling to understand zBrush for actually building the model, but I think I will
